NaPoWriMo, Day 30: Poetry of the Sea

The prompt from One Deep Breath is "poetry of the sea". I like ending National Poetry Month with the sea.

Foamy ocean waves
Lace pattern on wet sand
Crab scuttles alone.

Head on over to see more at One Deep Breath.

Oh, is the prompt up now? That's the trouble with living in New Zealand, everything seems to happen while I'm asleep, or while I'm at work.
I love the sea, and your haiku is very evocative.

I love the imagery of the crab scuttling- it's a perfect word for what they do!

You did evoke that perfect sand moment when the waves have washed lace into it. I can see it clearly! Great haiku.

Jone, I love the image of lace on sand. I will have to watch for that.

I, too, adore the evoking of lace. It is so easily seen once you have voiced it.
