Why I Love Poetry
I have a thirty minute commute to school each morning. Great time to ponder prompts. Must be something in the air. The prompt over at One Deep Breath was on the process or craft of writing haiku earlier. What synchronicity this week.
I have always written poetry, love the word play, brevity of words lingering long after in my brain.
Calming the spirit
Centering poem prayer
Daily guiding thoughts
Magic word moments
Dancing across mind pages
Encore on paper

I loved the haikus- they speak so much to the essence of poetry. Thanks, Jone!
Ah, prayer is a popular theme this week - you, Wendy and me.

I have a 60 minute commute. I don't know what I'd do without it.
Wonderful thoughts on the love of poetry ... magic word moments is a great way to describe the excitement I feel when words come together in such a way that I shudder with delight!
Much peace, JP
I am finally getting around to all that commented. Hope you don't mind me linking you up on my page. You educated people with big vocabularies make me look words up, luckily for me someone else used brevity so I got it this time. Sounds like you're job is amazing. I don't have a commute of much but my day is rough, probably the opposite of yours.
