Close, Closer, Closest

Autumn afternoon
Leaves creating rust carpet
Quiet hangs on branches

Silent guard watches
Squirrels gather winter food
One leaf dances by

Elephant trunk speaks
Who wanders through sacred ground
Autumn afternooon

Unique to progress a series this way (at least in my experience). Fabulous photos. Cool sense of humor, yet including that sense of the sacred. Nice work, IMHO.

That is one amazing tree!I like how you bring the photo closer and closer. And your haiku troika is a perfect complement!

That tree has an amazing face! I loved the haiku that go with it - especially the "silent guard" watching squirrles gather food.

Well done!

Clever work here. Loved how you use the same photo just kept moving closer with each closer ku. Nice series... and yes, I saw the elephants trunk in that tree. Great photos.

So many goodies here! That tree trunk is amazing but your poetry brings the trees to life. Well done!

I like your imagination. You could expand these three poems into a children's book about that tree!
